Digging deep

Saturday evening - very strange. Nobody around. Weather getting better/warmer so the garden and allotment beckon. We always said that we wouldn't use the car to get to allotment 1km away, but have always used it. This lockdown has made us get the bikes out and get there that way. We made a last trip with the car during the week to drop off large tools, trugs and onions to plant that we had raised from sets indoors. No excuses now as this is an allowed form of exercise. Hoping for excellent crops this year as we aren't able to travel for now which means that we can keep on top of the growing crops (and weeds). It's a pity that there won't be a Gardener's Show this year.

  1. Sounds like a plan Pete. Now that all the nurseries are closed I can't get flowers to plant the tubs in front of the house so I'm considering consolidating the surviving flowers in a couple of pot and growing tomatoes in the rest. No tourists passing by now to pick them!
